Reconciliation

We are committed to undertaking the important work of reconciliation in good faith and acknowledge the ongoing colonial history of genocide and stolen lands.

We are committed to undertaking the important work of reconciliation in good faith and acknowledge the ongoing colonial history of genocide and stolen lands. As part of our work towards reconciliation, we are committed to engaging in a collaborative process that would see Crown lands returned to Indigenous peoples in Canada and will advocate for:

  • Ending boil-water advisories, investing in infrastructure, and closing the education gap to advance Indigenous self-determination and foster resilient communities.
  • Uplifting Indigenous communities through economic development funding that invests in Indigenous entrepreneurs across Canada, and increasing funding for the Indigenous theatre at the National Arts Centre.
  • Advocating for increased grant funding for Indigenous artists and community developers in our communities.
  • Working in partnership with Indigenous women, the families of the missing and murdered and Indigenous communities to implement the Calls for Justice.
